Shaad Ali to direct film on grandma's life

His 2007 film Jhoom Barabar Jhoom didn't fare too well at the box office after which, Shaad Ali all but disappeared. Not too long ago, there was buzz about the director finally coming up with his next venture. Putting an end to all speculation, he revealed his plans.
After a gap of five years, the director, most remembered for his debut Saathiya, is readying to direct Kill Dil, a breezy romantic film starring buddy Ranveer Singh.
He will then go on to his dream project, a film based on the life of his grandmother, the legendary freedom fighter and activist Lakshmi Sahgal, who passed away in July.
