46 kg RDX recovered in Srinagar

Foiling a major terror bid ahead of the Independence Day, Army recovered 46 kg of RDX in Srinagar on Saturday. Recovery of such a huge amount explosives days before the 64th Independence Day is indeed a big accomplishment for the Indian army.
The Kilo force had got the information about the malicious conspiracy of disrupting peace during I-day, after which search operations were started, Union Defence Ministry spokesperson Lt. Col. J S Barar said.
With the help of dog squads, 46 kgs of RDX were recovered in a plastic bag buried in Jandakot area of Srinagar.
The local police have been informed about the recovery. However, no arrest has been made in this regard as yet, he added.
